CCTV News: The second and third lines of the West-East Gas Pipeline Project entered the country from Central Asia from Horgos, Xinjiang, and then arrived in Nanning, Guangxi and Shenzhen, Guangdong, respectively, with an annual gas transmission volume of 60 billion cubic meters. Among them, the Guozigou backup pipeline construction project located in Huocheng County, Yili Prefecture, Xinjiang is an important guarantee project for the second and third lines of the West-East Gas Pipeline. After the Spring Festival, the builders rushed to speed up the construction and promote the "acceleration" of project construction.
The reporter saw at the scene that although the fruit ditch was covered with thick snow and the temperature dropped to about minus 15 degrees Celsius, the tunnel construction did not stop for a moment. Two double shield hard rock boring machines operate 24 hours amid the roar, and a single daily excavation can reach 30 meters. More than 100 construction personnel stayed at their posts and carried out operations in a intensive and orderly manner to ensure the safety and accuracy of tunnel excavation.
The total investment of the Guozigou backup pipeline construction project of the West-East Gas Pipeline Second and Third Line is 2.671 billion yuan, and it is passed through the mountains by continuous tunnels. There are 4 mountain tunnels with a total length of 23.179 kilometers. It is planned to be completed in September 2028. After completion, it will effectively improve the problems of high operating risks and difficulty in maintaining inspections caused by harsh climate, frequent earthquakes and avalanches when the West-East Gas Pipeline Second and Third Lines crossing the Guozigou area.
