Many places have added international freight routes, and the three-dimensional transportation and foreign trade network has tightened the connection between China and the world.

At the beginning of the new year, the all-cargo aircraft of Mexico Aosheng Airlines flew from Mexico City to Zhengzhou from Mexico City, and then loaded about 45 tons of cross-border e-commerce cargo back to Mexico City. Since then, the two flights of all-cargo planes per week have started normal transportation.

Now, high-value-added cargo departs from Zhengzhou Airport and can reach major node cities around the world in 12 hours. In 2024, Zhengzhou Airport opened 19 new cargo routes, and new Frankfurt, Osaka, Clark and other navigation points were added. The annual cargo and mail throughput was 825,000 tons, setting a record high since navigation.

China's maritime trade network to the world is also busy. At Yantian Port, Shenzhen, a world's largest ultra-large container ship is preparing to set sail. The cargo ship, full of consumer electronics and daily necessities from China, will sail to the UK.

Pang Ning, deputy general manager of the Ministry of Commerce of Yantian International Container Terminal, said: "Last year, the world's largest container ship with a load of more than 24,000 TEUs in Yantian Port once again set a new record for the number of ships arbitrated by Yantian Port, an increase of nearly 30% year-on-year."

The big ship comes more frequently, and China's route to the world is also weaving it tighter. In 2024, the container throughput of Yantian Port exceeded 15 million TEUs, a record high; Yantian Port added 18 new routes, covering North America, South America, Mediterranean, Australia and Asia, and more than 100 routes are connected to the world every week.

Recently, the first "door-to-door" New Year's goods train of the China-Europe Express arrived in Xi'an. The train was loaded with 1,300 tons of flour from Kazakhstan and drove directly into the grain and oil processing park of Xi'an International Port.

Since the beginning of the year, more than ten China-Europe freight trains depart and arrive at Xi'an International Port Station every day. Relying on the China-Europe Express, China's trade links with countries jointly building the "Belt and Road" are becoming increasingly close. In 2024, the proportion of countries jointly building the "Belt and Road" in my country's imports and exports exceeded 50% for the first time. my country's imports and exports to countries with jointly building the "Belt and Road" increased by 6.4%, accounting for 50.3% of my country's total import and export value.

New partners New channels my country's foreign trade "circle" expands

At present, my country is the main trading partner of more than 150 countries and regions around the world. Since the beginning of the year, the number of my country's trading partners has continued to increase, and its connection with trading partners has become increasingly close.

At the beginning of the new year, a batch of goods exported to the Maldives obtained a certificate of origin, which is also the first China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement certificate of origin in Guangxi. This batch of goods can receive a tariff reduction of 35,000 yuan when customs clearance of the Maldives.

From January 1, 2025, the China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement will officially come into effect. my country will benefit from most industrial products such as electrical equipment and steel products from the Maldives, as well as agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits, etc.; Maldives' aquatic products and textiles will also enjoy the agreement when exporting to China. Not only the Maldives, but in the three years since the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) came into effect, my country's trade links with ASEAN countries have become increasingly close.

As the Spring Festival approaches, Guangxi's Friendship Pass port is becoming more and more busy, with more than 1,200 trucks clearance per day, and products related to the Spring Festival have become the most popular export category here.

In Chongqing, a new land-sea channel railway-sea transport special train carrying 57 standard containers of goods is heading to Singapore, the Philippines and other places. Just three months ago, the first "ASEAN Express" arrived in Chongqing from Vietnam with full load of cargo. This "fast Express" achieved seamless connection between the China-Europe Express and the new Western Land-Sea Passenger Channel.

With the continuous advancement of East Asian cooperation and regional economic integration, my country's imports and exports to ASEAN have maintained growth for nine consecutive years, and have been each other's largest trading partners for five consecutive years.
