CCTV News: According to the website of the State Immigration Administration, during this year's Qingming Festival holiday, the national border inspection agencies guaranteed a total of 6.212 million Chinese and foreign personnel entering and leaving the country, with an average of 2.071 million people per day, an increase of 19.7% over the same period last year. Among them, 2.76 million mainland residents entered and left the country, an increase of 14.0% over the same period last year; 2.755 million Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents entered and left the country, an increase of 21.5% over the same period last year; 697,000 foreigners entered and left the country, an increase of 39.5% over the same period last year. A total of 271,000 inbound and outbound transportation vehicles (ships, trays, and vehicles) were inspected, an increase of 15.7% over the same period last year.
In accordance with the unified deployment of the State Immigration Administration, all police officers from the border inspection agencies across the country mobilized and took active actions to scientifically predict and timely publish the inbound and outbound passenger flow at the port, and remind the majority of inbound and outbound personnel to arrange their itineraries reasonably; organize service scientifically and allocate sufficient on-duty police force, and set up special inspection channels for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents, overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese to return home to worship their ancestors and provide assistance to passengers who need special care; strengthen departmental cooperation and linkage to promptly guide the peak of passenger flow to ensure efficient and smooth customs clearance at the port. During the Qingming Festival holiday, the entry and exit of ports across the country is safe, convenient and orderly.
