  According to the relevant regulations of the Party Central Committee, members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee, members of the Secretariat, members of the Party Leadership Group of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, the State Council, and the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and the Party Leadership Group Secretary of the Supreme People’s Court and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate reported his duties in writing to the Party Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping every year. Recently, relevant comrades have reported their duties in writing to the Party Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping on their work in 2024 in accordance with regulations.

 Xi Jinping carefully reviewed the performance report and put forward important requirements, emphasizing that this year is the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and an important year for further comprehensive deepening of reform. The tasks of reform, development and stability are heavy. We must thoroughly study and implement the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, strengthen the "four consciousnesses", firm up the "four self-confidences", and achieve the "two safeguards", unswervingly implement the major policies and decisions of the Party Central Committee, promote the high-quality completion of the goals and tasks of the "14th Five-Year Plan", and lay a solid foundation for achieving a good start to the "15th Five-Year Plan". We must enhance our political capabilities, calmly respond to challenges brought by changes in the domestic and international situation, adhere to the general tone of work of seeking progress while maintaining stability, fully and accurately implement the new development concept, accelerate the construction of a new development pattern, solidly promote high-quality development, further comprehensively deepen reforms, expand high-level opening up to the outside world, promote the sustained recovery and improvement of the economy, steadily improve people's living standards, and ensure the stability of the overall social situation.
