On February 1st, the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, Hong Kong resident Xu Yanping drove his family early in the morning and came to Guangdong via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. I went to Zhuhai to see the Sanzao Crane Dance, to Kaiping, Jiangmen to see the watchtower, and then to Shunde, Foshan to taste delicious food. The family was full of interest in the "in-depth tour" of the Bay Area during the Spring Festival.

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge "one bridge connects three places" and continues to heat up the "cross-border tourism" of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area during the Spring Festival. According to statistics from the border inspection department, from January 28 (New Year's Eve) to January 31 (the third day of the first lunar month), the inbound and outbound passenger flow through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge exceeded 454,000, and the traffic flow exceeded 69,000, an increase of 22% and 32% respectively over the same period last year during the Spring Festival holiday last year; among them, the inbound and outbound passenger flow reached 156,000 on January 31, setting a new single-day high since the bridge was opened. Among them, Hong Kong and Macao tourists account for more than 60% of the total passenger flow at the port.

A series of special activities such as intangible cultural heritage experience, forsythia flower market, and parade performances, as well as rich and diverse cultural and tourism consumption formats, have "ignited" Guangdong's strong New Year atmosphere, attracting a large number of Hong Kong and Macao residents like Xu Yanping to "go north" to welcome the New Year. The Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is the only designated port for "Hong Kong car north" and "Au car north", and has also become one of the preferred channels for Hong Kong and Macao residents to drive themselves to visit relatives and friends, taste delicious food, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Four days before the Spring Festival holiday, the border inspection station of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge inspected a total of more than 50,000 vehicles, including more than 11,000 vehicles on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. On January 31, the number of "Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao vehicles" exceeded 11,000 vehicles a day, reaching a historical high level.

In order to properly respond to the peak of passenger flow, the border inspection station of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has increased its investment in police force, added pre-guidance and manual inspection positions, arranged mobile police force to strengthen monitoring and patrol, opened inspection channels in advance and closed, and shortened the waiting time for passengers; in response to the increase in the number of elderly and children on board, the mobile inspection model is innovatively used to provide "drill-free inspection" services to those who need to help, and continuously improve the port customs clearance experience.
