CCTV News: According to the official account of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment recently jointly compiled the "Opinions on Further Optimizing the Supervision of Motor Vehicle Environmental (Draft for Comments)" in conjunction with eight departments including the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the National Development and Reform Commission and other eight departments to solicit opinions publicly. The deadline is March 31, 2025.

The main contents of the "Draft for Soliciting Opinions" include the trial of the differentiated regular emission inspection system for trucks, the configuration of remote emission management on-board terminals for diesel trucks of more than 3.5 tons, on-site inspections will be carried out to strengthen vehicle emission supervision, and the use of remote sensing monitoring, black smoke capture and other technical means to strengthen remote sensing screening and traceability of high-emission vehicles. In addition, supervision of motor vehicle emission inspection and maintenance agencies will be strengthened, and the source management of motor vehicle emissions will be promoted.
