The reporter learned from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that the "China Food and Nutrition Development Outline (2025-2030)" jointly issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Health Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently clearly stated that by 2030, my country's diversified food supply system will be more perfect, and the level of food quality, characteristic and branding will continue to improve. The food consumption structure has shifted to a nutritional and healthy type, and food and nutritional intake is more balanced and reasonable, and the nutritional and healthy status has been further improved.

The outline proposes six key tasks, including increasing the supply and consumption of high-quality protein foods, promoting the supply and consumption of foods rich in dietary fiber, accelerating the research and development and processing of nutritious foods, inheriting and promoting a healthy dietary culture, accelerating the construction of a food and nutrition supply guarantee system, and improving the system for sustainable development of food and nutrition.

On March 18, a symposium on the study and implementation of the outline, guided by the National Food and Nutrition Advisory Committee and sponsored by the Institute of Food and Nutrition Development of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, was held at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The experts at the meeting believe that my country's current agricultural production, food processing and food consumption are accelerating into a new stage of meeting nutritional and health needs. Providing more full and higher-quality agricultural product supply and food nutrition guarantee has become an inevitable requirement to meet the needs of the people.
