The third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference successfully completed all agendas and closed in the Great Hall of the People on the morning of the 10th. The meeting called on all participating units of the CPPCC and the vast number of CPPCC members to unite more closely around the CPPCC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, carry forward the fine traditions, assume political responsibilities, promote the continuous development of the CPPCC cause in the new era, and make new and greater contributions to promoting Chinese-style modernization.

Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Shi Taifeng, Hu Chunhua, Chen Yueyue, Wang Yong, Zhou Qiang, Pabala Glelangjie, Ho Hau Wah, Liang Zhenying, Battel, Su Hui, Shao Hong, Gao Yunlong, Chen Wu, Mu Hong, Xian Hui, Wang Dongfeng, Jiang Xinzhi, Jiang Zuojun, He Baoxiang, Wang Guangqian, Qin Boyong, Zhu Yongxin and Yang Zhen took their seats in the front row of the rostrum.

Wang Huning said in his speech that the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is a conference that holds high the banner, unites and strives for truth and is pragmatic, and unites and forges. It fully demonstrates the remarkable political advantages of the CPPCC and demonstrates the vigorous vitality of the people's democracy throughout the whole process of our country. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping and other leaders of the Party and the state attended the opening and closing meeting of the conference, visited CPPCC members and participated in the joint group discussion, and discussed the country's affairs with CPPCC members. All CPPCC members carefully discussed the government work report and other reports, carefully reviewed the work report of the CPPCC Standing Committee and the work report of the proposal work, and achieved fruitful results in the political discussion. Wang Huning said that we must unswervingly uphold the overall leadership of the Communist Party of China, adhere to the nature and positioning of the CPPCC, adhere to the two major themes of unity and democracy, do a solid job in uniting people's hearts, building consensus, gathering wisdom and gathering strength, focus on promoting Chinese-style modernization to perform duties, and give full play to the political role of the broadest patriotic united front organization, better play the role of the CPPCC as an important channel and special consultation body for socialist consultative democracy, continuously improve the level of political consultation, democratic supervision, participation in politics and policy-making, and better shoulder the political responsibility of implementing the decisions and deployments of the CPPCC and the requirements for the work of the CPPCC, and gathering the wisdom and strength of the Chinese people at home and abroad.

Wang Huning said that let us unite more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee, work together and unite and forge ahead, and strive to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way, achieve the second centenary goal, and comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese-style modernization.
