The new energy system of the Antarctic Qinling Station includes wind power generation, photovoltaic power generation, energy storage batteries, hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, hydrogen energy power generation and other hardware facilities, and has made major breakthroughs in energy equipment and system key technologies.
Sun Hongbin, chief scientist of polar clean energy at the China Polar Research Center, President of Taiyuan University of Technology: It is a milestone progress. This is the first time that my country can operate a large-scale green energy system with new energy as the main body in the extreme Antarctic environment.
