As a key area for the development of new quality productivity, the low-altitude economy is also the key layout direction of strategic emerging industries in the Yangtze River Delta. On February 20, the normalized two-way low-altitude helicopter passenger route from Haimen, Nantong, Jiangsu to Pudong, Shanghai was officially opened and achieved its first flight.
At 1:04 pm that day, Mr. Gu from Haimen, Nantong, Jiangsu boarded the plane and took off, becoming the first passenger on this helicopter route. The route is about 123 kilometers long, and the original ground distance takes 2 hours, shortening to about 40 minutes of flight time. This flight is not only fast, but passengers can also enjoy the unique urban landscape on both sides of the Yangtze River Estuary from the air.
It is understood that the route is arranged for one flight every morning and evening rush hour, with a price of 698 yuan. In the past, Nantong area was "difficult to pass through the river" due to the natural barrier of the Yangtze River. Now there is another cross-river route, which has become more and more "easy", and it has also met the diversified travel needs of passengers. (Central Station reporter Tang Gaolin)
