Along with the glimmer of sunrise, the shimmering sea surface in the past was covered by "Lotus Leaf Ice", and the reefs and waves seemed to be "sealed" in the ice layer. Many tourists and photography enthusiasts come to see the different sunrise and sea views.

Mao Zhizheng, chief forecaster of Qinhuangdao Meteorological Observatory, introduced that January and February are the coldest month in Qinhuangdao City and the peak ice age in the Bohai Sea. Generally speaking, when the temperature is below minus 1.8℃, it is conducive to the appearance of sea ice.

The magnificence of northern sea ice is not only a product of the harsh climate, but also a masterpiece of natural art. The formation process of sea ice reveals the precise law of the interaction between the ocean and the atmosphere, and the shocking power of the landscape becomes an iconic symbol of the winter coastline. It is currently the peak of sea ice in the Bohai Bay, and it is the best time to enjoy this natural wonder.

Beijing tourists Xinyuan said that they came to Qinhuangdao mainly to take their children to see the frozen sea, because they have been to Sanya, and they all see the summer scenery of the beach. It's the first time I've come to Qinhuangdao to experience the frozen sea.
