CCTV News: According to the official account of "City Saying New Language", recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation approved the construction of a new (500~2350)nm wavelength reference device (optical frequency combing method), which fills the gap in the optical wavelength measurement capability of my country's visible light to near-infrared light band, realizes absolute measurement of optical wavelength, solves the problem of untraceable high-end laser interference standard light sources, as well as the optical wavelength traceability problems of optical communication and laser spectrum used to analyze material components, and provides strong metrological support for the development of high-end equipment in my country's advanced manufacturing, environmental protection, production safety and other fields.

——This reference has the widest measurement range among similar devices in the international category. It uses an optical frequency comb to transfer the accuracy of the time frequency to the optical band without loss, expanding the measurement range of the optical wavelength by about 200,000 times, covering the visible light to the near-infrared light band.

——This reference outputs the most accurate magnitude in the field of length measurement, which increases the reproduction accuracy of length unit meters by 2 orders of magnitude to the order of 10-13. This is equivalent to the fact that if the distance from the moon to the earth is regarded as a light wavelength, the error in measuring this light wavelength is less than half the diameter of a hair, reaching the international advanced level.
