CCTV News (News Broadcast): The earthquake relief work of 6.8-magnitude earthquake relief in Dingri County, Tibet continues to be carried out, and all parties are accelerating the construction of prefabricated houses, improving infrastructure, and distributing disaster relief materials.

As of 17:00 on January 16, the Tibet Autonomous Region Earthquake Relief Command has raised 13,000 sets of board houses, arrived in the disaster area, built 5,152 sets, installed 9,525 stoves (electric furnaces), distributed more than 40,000 power mattresses and heaters, transported 759 tons of fuel, distributed more than 259,700 quilts and blankets, and distributed more than 180,000 cotton clothes, and used 560 tons of reserved grain and oil to allow the people to spend the winter warmly. On the 16th, the reporter saw in Cuoguo Township, which was severely affected by the disaster, that the construction of prefabricated houses and the installation of supporting facilities are being accelerated and is expected to be officially delivered and used within two or three days.

The investigation of safety hazards after earthquake is also being carried out in an orderly manner. In Lazi County, technicians from many testing institutions in Tibet Autonomous Region and Shigatse City evaluated a number of indicators such as whether the building foundation is settled, whether the load-bearing walls are cracked, and whether the beams, slabs and columns have cracks and erosion.

Emergency inspection of geological disasters in 76 townships including Dingri and Lazi has been completed, and a total of 1,851 geological disaster hazards have been investigated.
