The reporter learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that statistics from the China Item Coding Center show that at present, the number of product barcode users in my country has reached 604,200, and the total number of product data resources is 212 million, ranking first in the world in scale. As a verification method, the barcode of the product continues to make efforts in the work of exchanging old products for consumer goods, accurately supports the verification of eight major categories of home appliance subsidy products in 15 provinces and cities, involving more than 119,000 household appliance products categories, and a total of more than 50 million subsidy products are verified to ensure the accurate and orderly distribution of consumer goods subsidies.

As an internationally common product logo, product barcodes are widely used in the field of consumer goods circulation, covering most consumer goods. They are a powerful tool for consumer goods identity verification in the country's old-for-new work, and play an important role in subsidy application, process supervision, risk prevention and control, data sharing, etc. In addition, commodity barcodes have become a bridge and link for departmental cooperation and government governance, and have an auxiliary role in cracking down on counterfeit and inferior products, preventing inferior products as good products, identifying false transactions, and avoiding fraud and subsidies. The wide application of commodity barcodes in all walks of life in my country provides important technical support and strong guarantees to ensure the smooth advancement of my country's "old for new" policy. Relying on its "product ID card" function, product barcodes can effectively prevent the occurrence of false transactions and other violations, helping the rapid conversion of new and old kinetic energy and the continuous release of high-quality production capacity.
