At the invitation of Cambodia King Sihamoni, President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Cambodia. This visit is President Xi Jinping's second visit to Cambodia after nine years.

Cambodia is located in the southern part of the Indochina Peninsula, adjacent to Vietnam, Thailand and Laos, with a population of about 16 million, of which 80% of the Khmers account for.

Cambodia has a long and brilliant history and culture, and is an important stop on the ancient Maritime Silk Road. The Angkor monument, which was built from 802 to 1201 AD, is famous for its magnificent architecture and exquisite relief murals. It was rated as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1992.

China and Cambodia are traditional friendly neighbors and hardcore friends.

The two countries formally established diplomatic relations on July 19, 1958, established a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in 2010, and announced the construction of a community of shared future between China and Cambodia in the new era in 2023. Through the "Diamond Six-Side" cooperation structure, cooperation will be expanded in key areas such as investment, trade, tourism and culture, and fruitful results will be achieved.
