This afternoon, the Ministry of Commerce held a special press conference. The relevant person in charge introduced that the 137th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou in three phases from April 15 to May 5, and the online platform will continue to operate normally.

The total exhibition area of ​​this year's Canton Fair is 1.55 million square meters, with a total number of booths of about 74,000, and about 31,000 participating companies. Among them, the number of export exhibition booths was nearly 73,000, and the number of exhibitors exceeded 30,000 for the first time, an increase of nearly 900 over the previous session. The number of imported exhibition booths is about 1,600, and 736 companies from 50 countries and regions participated in the exhibition, which is basically the same as the previous session.

The third phase of this year's Canton Fair is themed on "Advanced Manufacturing", "Quality Home" and "Better Life", with a total of 55 exhibition areas and 172 product areas. For the first time, a special service robot area was added in the first phase to concentrate on displaying the latest achievements in the development of artificial intelligence in my country. The integrated housing area is set up for the first time, and multiple emerging industry-related theme areas such as smart life, smart logistics and warehousing equipment, digital factories and intelligent manufacturing production lines, wind energy, hydrogen energy and other new energy products, smart travel-related technical products, etc.

At the same time, this year's Canton Fair has issued the "Measures for Improving the Quality of Enterprises Exhibited in Canton Fair", and introduced 10 measures to provide exhibition opportunities for more high-quality enterprises. There are more than 4,200 new exhibitors. There are more than 9,700 companies with titles such as national high-tech, specialized and specialized small giants, and single-level championships in manufacturing, an increase of 20% over the previous session. There are about 3,700 companies related to the "New Three", digital technology, and intelligent manufacturing related topics, more than 17,000 companies with independent brands, and nearly 22,000 companies have passed various international certifications.

Xiao Lu, deputy director of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce, introduced that this Canton Fair strives to achieve a higher level of diversification of buyers' sources and help enterprises explore the international market. At the same time, we will invite the world's top 250 retail companies and industry leaders to optimize the structure and quality of overseas buyers.

In addition, in order to better meet the needs of exhibitors, more than 1,000 trade promotion activities will be held this year, and two versions of the apps for buyers and suppliers will be upgraded to optimize the standards and content of online platform service packages, reconstruct the "trade pairing" system, and improve matching efficiency and accuracy.
