The 40-day Spring Festival travel rush is expected to take the train to embark on the journey. With large passenger flow and large transportation volume, how can passengers be at ease?

New lines and new stations are unveiled together, and the road network map is expanded again.

As of the end of 2024, the national railway operating mileage reached 162,000 kilometers, of which 48,000 kilometers of high-speed railways were used, and my country's high-speed railway operating mileage set a new record.

In order to ensure the Spring Festival travel rush, the railway capacity threshold has been adjusted to the maximum.

Before the Spring Festival travel rush, 185 newly built Fuxing EMUs with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour were put into operation, and the transportation capacity was effectively expanded.

According to the plan, during the Spring Festival, the China Railway Corporation will arrange about 14,000 passenger trains every day, and the number of seats can be increased by 500,000 per day, and the passenger capacity will increase by about 4% compared with the 2023 Spring Festival travel rush.

Zhengzhou East Station is located at the intersection of the Beijing-Guangzhou, Xulan, Zhengtai, Ji-Zheng, Zheng-Yu and Zhengfu high-speed railways. On average, a high-speed train will leave here every 1.35 minutes. During peak hours, more than 340 passengers will depart from here every 60 seconds to all parts of the country. The efficient operation of the station and the shuttle buses are inseparable from the help of the "Sky Eye" system.

Railway 12306 has been upgraded to make it more convenient for passengers to purchase tickets. During this year's Spring Festival travel rush, 12306 will continue to be newly launched and its functions will be continuously improved. On January 12, the Railway 12306 system endured the test of the peak ticket sales period. By identifying abnormal situations such as the extremely high access frequency, it rejected 37.14 million abnormal login access requests to ensure the safety and stability of ticket sales. As of 17:00 on January 13, Railway 12306 has issued a total of 85.07 million tickets during the Spring Festival travel rush.

"We help passengers get tickets more convenient by launching functions such as pre-filling for ticket purchase requirements, starting sales reminder subscription, upgrading candidate functions, and providing mid-to-transfer suggestions." A relevant person in charge of the 12306 Science and Technology Innovation Center said.

It is understood that the railway department will increase the deployment of transportation resources in popular directions and periods where conditions permit, and arrange for the addition of temporary buses and night high-speed rails to fully meet passenger travel needs.
