CCTV News: Recently, a border defense regiment of the Xinjiang Military Region and a land aviation brigade of the Xinjiang Military Region have worked closely together to organize officers and soldiers to take helicopters to patrol the entire border of the defense zone and conduct aerial surveys on areas that cannot be reached on the ground.
At an airport on the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, the iron wings were spinning, and the officers and soldiers participating in the patrol mission quickly boarded the plane. After receiving the order, the pilot took off the plane and a thousand-mile patrol across the Snow Ridge Canyon officially started.
Outside the porthole, the continuous mountains are covered with snow. In the cabin, the officers and soldiers used various equipment to conduct a comprehensive observation of the border line to see if suspicious people, livestock and vehicles had illegally crossed the border.
Liu Hua, a border defense regiment of the Xinjiang Military Region, said: "We adopt an integrated air-ground patrol method to conduct all-round and multi-angle reconnaissance and patrol control of the defense zone, aiming to improve the quality and efficiency of border defense forces' management and control."
Kuai Zongnan, a land aviation brigade of the Xinjiang Military Region, said: "We have made sufficient preparations for the route weather, flight methods, terrain and navigation coordination to ensure the successful completion of this mission."
This patrol mission lasted for two days, with a cumulative flight of 7 hours and a range of more than 1,500 kilometers. The crew and the officers and soldiers on duty cooperated closely, and adopted patrol control methods such as "continuous photography, key evidence collection, hovering observation" to survey the defense area points to ensure the safety and stability of the border line.
