CCTV News: As various industries resume work and production, logistics companies across the country have also resumed operations quickly. During an interview at the Nanjing Regional Shipping Logistics Center, one of the four shipping centers that the Yangtze River Economic Belt is focused on, the reporter found that local boat residents returned to work earlier than in previous years.
Zhang Yunfang, a boatman who has been running the ship for more than 20 years, told reporters that he and his old friends have come back a week earlier than in previous years, busy cleaning the cabins and repairing equipment, and preparing for the first ship after the holiday.
The motivation at the beginning of the year is enough, and the confidence to make money comes from the hot market after the holiday. As manufacturing enterprises in Shanghai, Zhejiang and other places started construction one after another after the festival, demand for steel coils surged, and the cargo drawn by old boatmen from finished wharfs was all steel coils from nearby steel mills.
The reporter noticed that the four berths of the finished wharf were filled with bulk cargo ships, and five cranes were constantly lifting a single "weight" of dozens of tons of steel coils from the shore into the cabin one by one.
In the new year, old boatmen and enterprises rooted in the Yangtze River will see more new changes. In order to give full play to the "income of water and every inch" effect of the Yangtze River channel, this year, local governments have regularly promoted the draft depth of large ships entering the river from the original 11.36 meters to 11.8 meters.
