In the Yabuli Snow Division, the outdoor temperature was close to minus 20 degrees Celsius. Volunteer Wang Han stood outside the snow track, staring at the results of the competition site and the players on the field. He stood for three or four hours.

Wang Han said: "The wind is very strong, and it is very cold when blowing on his face. We cannot go indoors because we need to keep an eye on the athletes' performance, follow up in real time, and lead the top three athletes into the press room."

As a venue volunteer for the Asian Winter Games, Wang Han has to shuttle between the winding tracks in Yabuli every day. In addition to guiding the field, he also has to deal with emergencies in the field at any time.

"This is a team doctor in Kazakhstan. She said that someone in the team was injured and needed to return to the athletes' village to deal with it." Wang Han said, "With any need on the field, whether it is language translation or route guidance, we can help them in time and appear by their side as soon as possible."

The Yabuli Snow Division in this Asian Winter Games has eight competition venues. Venue volunteers like Wang Han are not only responsible for one venue, but sometimes they also have to shuttle between two or three venues to assist in the event operation. Put on crampon shoes and climb up and down the steep slopes of 30 to 50 meters. It takes 20 minutes to travel back and forth.

Volunteer Yan Pengsen's workplace today is a ski mountaineering venue, which is also a new project for this Asian Winter Games. Seeing that the athletes who had just competed did not find their results, Yan Pengsen took the initiative to come forward to help.

Yan Pengsen said: "The most difficult thing is actually language communication. Some countries have some accents, but sometimes they are not easy to understand. It is actually a challenge for me."

In order to communicate better with athletes from different countries, Yan Pengsen also created a manual of common languages ​​in ten languages ​​with volunteers.

"We will prepare these countries in advance for their different projects, or different nationalities, such as women's short-distance languages, such as Kazakh, Persian, and Uzbek. If necessary, we can show this to him directly."

Although the snow competition area has just started, for volunteers such as Wang Han and Yan Pengsen, the service work has lasted for nearly half a month. During the test site, they braved the severe cold of more than minus 20 degrees Celsius every day, hiking and surveying the snow tracks three times, which took 2 hours per trip, and the snow often exceeded their knees. Although the work is hard, as volunteers of the Asian Winter Games, everyone feels very proud and hopes that their efforts will add warmth and vitality to the Asian Winter Games.

Wang Han said that for him, this is a very valuable opportunity in life, and it also made him understand that unity and communication are the most important points in volunteer service.
